Christmas Run
: 19 gru 2001, 14:16
Przeczyta³am dzi¶ w Runner's World Newsletter, jak to amerykañscy biegacze ¶wiêtuj± Bo¿e Narodzenie. Pytanie w ankiecie brzmia³o: "Do you have a traditional Christmas Day run?"
"Every Christmas morning I take my two 'rein-dogs' for our annual Christmas Run With The Rein-dogs. I dress in my Santa hat, green and red outfit and jingle bell shoelaces. The dogs wear their bell collars and antlers. We run as fast as the weather permits making lots of noise. I don't know who enjoys it more; me, the dogs, or our laughing neighbors." - Machele Thomas, Chatham, Illinois
"I've only been running for two years, but the last two Christmas days, I've gone running late morning (much to my family's dismay) in the residential roads around where I live and take photos for many people with their families in front of their decorated houses. Always
rewarding!" - Cora in Ontario
"For the past 11 years I have run on Christmas Day after giving gifts and visiting with my family. We all enjoy a cup or two of coffee, and when the time is right, I don my Santa Hat, a bright red running jacket,
and all my warm gear to hit the trails. Hearing the crunch of the snow, the smell of fresh air, and the chimneys smoking always brings me back to the joy of this season. I know that in just less than an hour when I
am home, a warm bath and wonderful smells await me." - Erin West, Kelowna, Canada
Mam wielk± ochotê na taki wigilijny wieczorny bieg - ju¿ pisa³am o tym kilka w±tków wstecz. W czapce ¦wiêtego Miko³aja. A mo¿e w Bo¿e Narodzenie z samego rana?
