Kenya national team for marathon sets camp in Iten ahead of the IAAF world championships in Beijing China next month.

The team that is going to represent Kenya in 15th IAAF world championships in Beijing is currently training in Keelu resort in Iten. 
“We started the camp last week and how main focus is to build a strong team that is going to defend our nation out there in China next month. Currently we are not ready to disclose all our training program for undisclosed reasons but starting next week we are going to allow journalists as from Thursday.”  Said  Kirwa the team’s head coach. 
Some of the athletes in the camp includes; the world record holder Denis kimetto, immediate former world record holder Wilson Kipsang. the double world champion Edina Kiplagat the reining Paris marathon winner Mark Korir and the 2015 Hamburg marathon winner Lucas Rotich just to mention a few.
